Dr. Ruixuan Li is a full Professor of School
of Computer Science and Technology at Huazhong University of Science and
Technology (HUST), Wuhan,
P. R. China. He is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Parallel and
Distributed Computing, HUST. He is the Head of
Intelligent and Distributed
Computing Laboratory (IDC-Lab), HUST. He holds a B.S. and M.Sc. in Computer
Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1997 and 2000
respectively, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same university in 2004,
where he obtained the Excellent Ph.D. Dissertation Award. He was the visiting
scholar of the University of
Western Sydney (UWS), Australia, in 2005. He was the visiting
researcher of the University
of Toronto (UofT), Canada, from June 2009 to October 2010. He also holds an
Dr. Ruixuan Li's research is focused on cloud computing, big data management and analysis, distributed system security, information retrieval, data mining, social network, peer-to-peer computing, data integration, semantic web and ontology. He is the principal investigator for more than ten research grants, which were supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), National Key Technology Research and Development Program, and National High Performance Computing Foundation of China. He has published over 100 papers in refereed journals and conferences, including ICDM, ICPP, USENIX LISA, ACM CCS, ACM SACMAT, ACM ASIACCS, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TCC, JPDC, FGCS and JNCA. He co-authored two books as the first author, and holds 16 China patents of invention and 7 copyrights of computer software.
